Tall and heavy loads

Keep the height down

Big generators and their enclosures are often tall as well as heavy. Carrying them low in a well or perimeter trailer keeps the overall height down so the route can clear bridges and wires, and our permitting team plans the route around every height and width limit. Our own escorts and utility bucket trucks run with the load.

Well and perimeter trailers

Carry tall generators and enclosures low to keep the height down. Our 90 ton perimeter trailer expands its inside basket to 18'6" wide for gensets and transformers, and carries up to 180,000 lbs, or about 130,000 lbs stretched to a 65 ft well.

Permits and routing

Our in house team handles the permits and routing for every state and province on the route, and every route is reviewed turn by turn with the driver before the move.

Engineered load plan

Load plans are engineered with industry engineering partners and trailer manufacturers, then matched to the right setup from our fleet.

Escorts and utility

Our own escort vehicles and utility bucket trucks run with the load, lifting lines and clearing the way. Police escorts run with the load when the permit calls for them, as on our 300,000 lb gross dryer drum move.

Delivery and tracking

Samsara GPS and a dash cam on every truck, with a live share link on request, so your site team knows where the load is until it is set down.

Why carry a generator in a well trailer?

A well trailer carries the load low between the front and rear axle groups, which keeps the overall height down so the route can clear bridges and wires.

Can you move a generator inside its enclosure?

We haul generators and enclosures. Send us the weight and dimensions as it will ship, with or without the generator inside, and we will match the trailer.

How heavy can you go?

We haul pieces from 70,000 up to 300,000 lbs on 8 to 22 axle setups, and our permitting team plans every route around height and weight.

Can the site team track the load?

Yes. Every truck runs Samsara GPS and a dash cam, and we can send a live share link.

Can you store gensets before delivery?

Yes. We haul them to our fenced, gated yard in Dayton, Ohio, keep them stored and insured, then deliver when your site is ready. See genset storage in Dayton.
