What Oklahoma asks of tall and heavy loads.
Route review
ODOT publishes no route survey size trigger. Overweight loads that need it get a load route review by the ODOT Bridge Division before the permit is issued, so plan extra time. (OAC 730:50 Subchapter 5 (ODOT copy))
15'9"H or more
The load runs with front and rear escorts and a height measuring pole, and the permittee contacts every utility and railroad on the route before the move. (OAC 730:50 Subchapter 5 (ODOT copy), ODOT Contact List for Utilities and Railroads form)
Legal height
A load taller than 14'H on Interstates, US and state highways and turnpikes, and 13'6"H on county roads needs a permit. (47 O.S. 14 103, OAC 730:50 5 6(e) (ODOT copy))
