Before the move
How we plan a Tennessee load
Every Tennessee move starts with a TDOT permit. Our permitting team checks the size, weight and route against TDOT's rules, then sets the escorts, height pole and travel windows the permit calls for.
Tennessee lets permitted loads run 24 hours a day, but escorted loads stop for weekday rush hours in the Nashville, Murfreesboro, Knoxville, Memphis and Chattanooga counties, and for TDOT's holiday periods.
Loads over 165,000 lbs need TDOT Structures Division approval, and the review time grows with the weight, so we file early.
